Canada Study Part 2: Pack Your Bags
After completing your research on your assigned province or territory and viewing your classmates' presentations you are now an expert on Canada. To apply what you have learned you are asked to complete the following scenario.
Imagine you are planning a vacation to a major city in a province or territory(other than your own) in Canada. Locate the map of Canada found in your math text, Math Makes Sense Grade 4 page 66 . Plan a vacation to any province or territory of Canada. It will take you one day to drive from Vancouver to Quesnel. You can then take a flight to any major city found on the map. Once you have landed in the city of your choice, you will rent a car. Using your rented car you may travel to any location within one day's drive within the province or territory you have chosen. Keep a travel journal of your vacation.
Please include the following in your journal entries:
1) What province or territory will you visit.
2) What city will you arrive in?
3) How long will your vacation be? (min. stay 7 days)
4) When will you take your vacation (season)?
5) Describe the weather.
6) What sites, attractions did you see/visit?
7) What did you learn/enjoy about your visit?
8) How long was your vacation?
9) Include pictures/postcards of your trip

- Power Point slide presentation with captions and sentences and pictures from the Web of the activities attractions you did/visited.
